time to 'provoke' our law makers

Did you see 'provoked'? Aishwarya rai is brilliant for a change, yes…she has actually lived the role of kiranjit ahluwalia. I would love to meet kiranjit someday. After watching the film I began to wonder…
There are dozens of kiranjits probably in every village, town, and city in India. Many of them can be provoked. However, will even a single of them get justice in the end?

Kiranjit is free today, primarily because of progressive laws in the united kingdom.

When will we have progressive laws in this country? When will we have plain simple law in this country? When will law abiding citizens feel proud at doing so, in this country? When will law makers stop turning into law breakers?

Just 2 decisions by the courts in the last 10 days, one by the supreme court about staying the govt order on reservation for OBC in the elite educational institutes, and second by the UP high court about muslims not being minorities in the UP, these 2 decisions brought such huge protest by the govt, in delhi, and the one in UP, that the judiciary must be wondering now whether it makes any sense to pass judgement any more.

The only law that prevails in this country now is the law that helps to catch votes, by crook or crook, and by crook only.

This was evident in another shocking sting operation carried out 2 days back by IBN-cobra post. Shocking is an understatement, for the first time I felt sad at being an Indian.
Sometimes I wonder….dont our PM, and President watch these sting operations. Are they so helpless that forget about taking action, they refuse to say a word in public against such politicians.

I am sure many women, who identify with kiranjit, will go and watch ‘provoked’, and they might get provoked too, but they should not have any false feeling that they too will get justice in India. For that, we need to sufficiently provoke the law makers, to bring in path breaking laws in our country.

Dear Anand Bai,
A very good, well presented & thought provoking post feeling like to read time and again.

As ‘am already provoked, have no inclination to see “PROVOKED”.
Ash is brilliant not for a change, she will remain brilliant because Big B’s son has performed Abhishek to her-that’s the reason for the favorable effect.

In tinsel world anything and everything is possible and can happen, with the creative director, scriptwriter, dialogue writer, actors etc.etc unlike in the real world. In real world we need people with reality, determination, perseverance with sacrificing nature.

To have progressive law in our country-just forget it. All said and done, you can hope to have more of progressive politicians with the support of bureaucrats. Law abiding citizens can feel proud only with the like-minded people with each other and not beyond…. Truth is bitter, more so when it is expressed. And what you have mentioned in the last sentence of Para 4 will continue- make and break law-that’s their business and way of living.

Helpless judiciary with ineffective executive - the only solution to revive the whole system is to re-write the constitution with unchallengeable power to judiciary and limited and un? able(to judiciary) powers to executive.

In fact I too feel sad and bad being an Indian under such unsavory circumstances.
Those responsible and accountable to law and order, Justice to citizens, rights of the citizens, protection and safety of the citizens and their belongings etc are watching everything without any exception be it PM or P but are remaining as SILENT SPECTATORS or else they might loose their chair.

The only power that can save India judiciously in judiciary and legislature for all round growth, development, safety and contentment of the citizens is the Supreme Power and apparently it seems that Supreme power itself feels unsecured as their dwelling places faces demolition across the country.

Save yourself, Pray yourself and Pray to you thinking and visualising God in you.
